I’ve been excited ALL WEEK about Rock Night with Slash!
It sounds like they had a scary night on-set at AI, with two stage accidents, glass breaking and the audience evacuation. There was no official dress rehearsal before the show. Drama! Let’s go!
Adam Lambert:
Led Zeppelin — Whole Lotta Love: He’s extra tan/orange this week! Adam is MADE for this song. This is kind of random, but Adam’s rock-style this week actually looks like he could be one of the made-up characters on Guitar Hero. Hilarious. He was awesome — I’m admitting it.
Allison Iraheta:
Janice Joplin — Cry Baby: Looking better with the hair-extensions and less-slutty clothes. It would have been fun to see/hear her sing Heart (perfect!), but I loved the song she chose and she showed off that POWER voice of hers. Cool.
Danny and Kris duet: Wow… Styx… Renegade. I can’t stomach that song. It’s an interesting concept to have duets, but I wasn’t wild about that one.
Kris Allen:
The Beatles — Come Together: It’s official — Kris is super-hot! How did I not notice this earlier in the season!?!?! He’s always looked cute, but he gets somehow hotter each week. Loved the song choice. His voice isn’t as strong as the others, so he can’t easily compete against the other voices in “Rock Week.”
Danny Gokey:
Aerosmith — Dream On: Uh oh… one of my favorite songs and one of my favorite contestants! Danny’s outfit tonight reminded me of the guy version of “sexy librarian” — he was more of the “hot banker after-hours” or something. Weird. Let’s talk about the song… not good. The shriek at the end didn’t work. I wonder how Adam would have done it… I’m bummed.
Allison and Adam duet: Fohat — Slow Ride Now I really feel like I’m playing Guitar Hero (this is one of the songs on the game). It was fun to hear those powerful voices together — nice job!

Not fair to contestanst to have Stash as a rock star to guide them. He was yuk is the only word i have to say. Totally not fair to these incredible contestants. What were you thinking of by choosing Stash???????? to help them. He did nothing but make them look bad. Please a better choice should happen and they all should be given another chance.
Elsie..who is “STASH?” I guess since you don’t even know his name is Slash it would stand to reason you haven’t a clue that he’s been responsible for over 100 MILLION albums sold. I think he did a fine job and did a lot more in the mentoring department then some of the others that have basically told everyone they are great.
I still maintain that Adam is going home. Number one vote getter? Danny. Why? Because all of Matt’s votes went to him. Best performance? Kris. He totally surprised me this week. Worst performance? (No surprise) Adam. Come on… that was total karaoke. NOTHING original about it at all. But of course… the judges loves it. ::sigh::
